Exclusively from the private owned vineyard of Stock Family in Goulburn Valley, Central Victoria. Soils are predominantly weathered ironstone loam, with very little topsoil, ideal for growing low yielding, top quality vines.

The average vine ages are 30 years old and we are seeing increasing flavour intensity as each year passes.

Hand-picked grapes, crushed and de-stemmed with some whole bunches, wild yeast, open-fermented for 10 days around, basket press, wine matured in old (65%) and new (35%) French barrels for 12mths. Light filtration before bottling.

Approachable when young, especially for those who enjoy powerful wine styles. It will develop more complex and savoury characters with some more time in bottle and you’ll enjoy the rewards of patience.

Makes a wonderful accompaniment to roast lamb, grilled steaks, ribs and strong-flavored cheeses, its lovely natural acidity perfectly cut through the richness of the food and cleaning up the palate.
